ಏಡ್ಸ್ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ

ಎಸ್. ಎಮ್. ಎಸ್ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾವರದ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಸೇವಾ ಯೋಜನೆ (NSS) ಹಾಗೂ ಯೂತ್ ರೆಡ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ ಘಟಕದ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ರೋಟರಿ ಕ್ಲಬ್ ಸಾಲಿಗ್ರಾಮ-ಕೋಟಾ ಇವರ ಸಹಯೋಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಏಡ್ಸ್ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆಯನ್ನುಎಸ್. ಎಮ್. ಎಸ್ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾವರದ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಡಾ. ರಾಬರ್ಟ್ ರೋಡ್ರಿಗಸ್ ಜೆ ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಾಗಿ ರೋಟರಿ ಕ್ಲಬ್ ಸಾಲಿಗ್ರಾಮದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಮಿಲ್ಟನ್ ಡಿ'ಅಲ್ಮೇಡಾ ಅವರು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯಾಗಿ ICTC, ಉಡುಪಿಯ ಕೌನ್ಸೆಲರ್ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಸಾವಿತ್ರಿ ಕುಂದರ್ ಅವರು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು.

ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಶ್ರೀ ಆದಿತ್ಯ ಎಚ್.ಎಸ್. ಅವರು ಸ್ವಾಗತವನ್ನು ಕೋರಿದರು. ಕುಮಾರಿ ಕೀರ್ತನಾ ಹಾಗೂ ಗೌರವ್ ಅವರು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ನಿರೂಪಿಸಿದರು.ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಡಾ. ರಾಬರ್ಟ್ ರೋಡ್ರಿಗಸ್ ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಏಡ್ಸ್ ಕುರಿತು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ವೈಜ್ಞಾನಿಕ ಹಾಗೂ ವೈಚಾರಿಕ ಅರಿವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿರಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. ಏಡ್ಸ್ ರೋಗದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸಮಾಜದಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವ ತಪ್ಪು ಕಲ್ಪನೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಭಯವನ್ನು ನಿವಾರಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳು ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಪಾತ್ರ ವಹಿಸುತ್ತವೆ. ಯುವಜನತೆ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯುತ ಜೀವನಶೈಲಿಯನ್ನು ಅಳವಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು, ಆರೋಗ್ಯಕರ ಸಮಾಜ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ಕೈಜೋಡಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಕರೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.

ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಮಿಲ್ಟನ್ ಡಿ'ಅಲ್ಮೇಡಾ, ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು, ರೋಟರಿ ಕ್ಲಬ್ ಸಾಲಿಗ್ರಾಮ ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಯುವಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಆರೋಗ್ಯದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಅರಿವು ಮೂಡಿಸುವುದು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಅಗತ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಎನ್. ಎಸ್. ಎಸ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಯೂತ್ ರೆಡ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ ಘಟಕಗಳು ಸಮಾಜಮುಖಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇವಾ ಮನೋಭಾವವನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸುತ್ತಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಅವರು ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸಿದರು. ಏಡ್ಸ್ ತಡೆಗಟ್ಟುವಲ್ಲಿ ಜಾಗೃತಿ, ಮುನ್ನೆಚ್ಚರಿಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯುತ ನಡವಳಿಕೆ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಮುಖ್ಯವೆಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯಾದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಸಾವಿತ್ರಿ ಕುಂದರ್, ಕೌನ್ಸೆಲರ್, ICTC ಉಡುಪಿ ಅವರು ಏಡ್ಸ್‌ನ ಕಾರಣಗಳು, ಹರಡುವ ವಿಧಾನಗಳು, ತಡೆಗಟ್ಟುವ ಕ್ರಮಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ವಿವರವಾದ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದರು. HIV ಸೋಂಕಿನ ಕುರಿತು ಸಮಾಜದಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವ ತಪ್ಪು ಕಲ್ಪನೆಗಳನ್ನು ನಿವಾರಿಸುವ ಅಗತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಅವರು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು. HIV ಸೋಂಕಿತರನ್ನು ತಾರತಮ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಮಾನವೀಯತೆಯಿಂದ ಕಾಣಬೇಕು ಹಾಗೂ ಸರಿಯಾದ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆದು ಜಾಗೃತರಾಗಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಎನ್. ಎಸ್. ಎಸ್ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ನಾಯಕ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಡಾ. ಮಂಜುನಾಥ ಉಡುಪ, ಯೂತ್ ರೆಡ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ ಘಟಕದ ಸಂಯೋಜಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಆಲ್ಫ್ರೆಡ್ ಫುರ್ಟಾಡೊ ಹಾಗೂ NSS ಸಹಾಯಕ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ ಕುಮಾರಿ ನಕ್ಷಿತಾ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.

ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಮೂಲಕ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಏಡ್ಸ್ ಕುರಿತು ವೈಜ್ಞಾನಿಕ ಅರಿವು, ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯ ಮನೋಭಾವವನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಯಿತು.

September 26, 2026 — Six students from the Department of Economics, St. Mary’s Syrian College, Brahmavar, actively participated in a One-Day Multidisciplinary National Conference held at Sri Mahaveera College, Moodbidri.

The conference, organized in collaboration with the Mangalore University Economics Association (MUEA), was themed "Financial Inclusion, Skill India, and Entrepreneurship: Pathways to Inclusive Growth and Sustainable Development."

The delegation was led and mentored by Dr. Bharathraj S. Nejar, Head and Assistant Professor, Department of Economics, St. Mary’s Syrian College, Brahmavar.Throughout the day-long event, the participating students engaged in academic deliberations, technical paper presentations, and interactive discussions focusing on the crucial roles of financial accessibility, skill enhancement, and entrepreneurial initiatives in driving national economic sustainability and inclusive growth.

ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾವರ: ಮಂಗಳೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯ ಅಂತರ ಕಾಲೇಜು (MUIC) ಮಟ್ಟದ ಕುಸ್ತಿ ಪಂದ್ಯಾವಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ   ಎಸ್.ಎಂ.ಎಸ್. (S.M.S.) ಕಾಲೇಜು ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಸಾಧನೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು, ಪುರುಷರ ವಿಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮಗ್ರ ರನ್ನರ್-ಅಪ್ (Overall Runners-Up) ಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ತನ್ನದಾಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ.

ಪಂದ್ಯಾವಳಿಯುದ್ದಕ್ಕೂ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಕುಸ್ತಿ ಪಟುಗಳು ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಕ್ರೀಡಾಸ್ಪೂರ್ತಿ, ದೃಢಸಂಕಲ್ಪ ಹಾಗೂ ಕೌಶಲವನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗೆ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆ ಮತ್ತು ಕೀರ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ತಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

The Rovers and Rangers participated in a Dengue Awareness Programme as part of community service programme at Indiranagar, Brahmavara, on 25 September 2026. 

The Rovers and Rangers interacted with the public and created awareness about keeping the surroundings clean, avoiding stagnant water and taking necessary precautions to prevent the spread of dengue.The programme provided the students an opportunity to serve and interact with the local community.

ನಂತರ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಡಾ. ರಾಬರ್ಟ್ ರೊಡ್ರಿಗಸ್ ಅವರು ಎನ್. ಎಸ್. ಎಸ್ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇವಾ ಮನೋಭಾವ, ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿ ಮತ್ತು ನಾಯಕತ್ವ ಗುಣಗಳನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸುವ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ವೇದಿಕೆಯಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ವಿದ್ಯಾಭ್ಯಾಸದ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಸಮಾಜದ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅರಿತುಕೊಂಡು, ಅವುಗಳ ಪರಿಹಾರಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಸಕ್ರಿಯವಾಗಿ ತೊಡಗಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಕರೆ ನೀಡಿದರು. ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ, ಸ್ವಚ್ಛತೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಪರಿಸರ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣೆಯ ಕುರಿತು ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಮೂಡಿಸುವ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಎನ್. ಎಸ್. ಎಸ್ ಸ್ವಯಂಸೇವಕರು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಉತ್ಸಾಹದಿಂದ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಅವರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ನಿರೂಪಣೆಯನ್ನು ಎನ್. ಎಸ್. ಎಸ್ ನಾಯಕಿ ಕುಮಾರಿ ಕೀರ್ತನಾ ಅವರು ಅಚ್ಚುಕಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಿದರು.ಧ್ವಜಾರೋಹಣ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ನಂತರ ಎನ್. ಎಸ್. ಎಸ್ ಸ್ವಯಂಸೇವಕರು ಮಲೇರಿಯಾ ಮತ್ತು ಡೆಂಗ್ಯೂ ಕುರಿತು ಮನೆ-ಮನೆ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಅಭಿಯಾನವನ್ನು ಕೈಗೊಂಡರು. ಸ್ವಯಂಸೇವಕರು ಸುಮಾರು 50 ಮನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿ, ಮಲೇರಿಯಾ ಮತ್ತು ಡೆಂಗ್ಯೂ ರೋಗಗಳ ಹರಡುವಿಕೆ, ಲಕ್ಷಣಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಮುನ್ನೆಚ್ಚರಿಕಾ ಕ್ರಮಗಳ ಕುರಿತು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರಿಗೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದರು.

ಮನೆಯ ಸುತ್ತಮುತ್ತ ನೀರು ನಿಲ್ಲದಂತೆ ನೋಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು, ಸೊಳ್ಳೆಗಳ ಉತ್ಪತ್ತಿ ತಾಣಗಳನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮೂಲನೆ ಮಾಡುವುದು, ಸುತ್ತಮುತ್ತಲಿನ ಪರಿಸರವನ್ನು ಸ್ವಚ್ಛವಾಗಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ಹಾಗೂ ಸೊಳ್ಳೆಗಳಿಂದ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಪಡೆಯುವ ಅಗತ್ಯದ ಕುರಿತು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರಲ್ಲಿ ಅರಿವು ಮೂಡಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಮೂಲಕ ಎನ್. ಎಸ್. ಎಸ್ ಸ್ವಯಂಸೇವಕರು ಸಮಾಜದೊಂದಿಗೆ ನೇರವಾಗಿ ಸಂಪರ್ಕ ಸಾಧಿಸಿ, ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ವಚ್ಛತೆಯ ಕುರಿತು ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಮೂಡಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಪಾತ್ರ ವಹಿಸಿದರು. “ನನಗಾಗಿ ಅಲ್ಲ, ನಿನಗಾಗಿ” ಎಂಬ ಎನ್. ಎಸ್. ಎಸ್ ಧ್ಯೇಯವಾಕ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಅನುಗುಣವಾಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ನೆರವೇರಿತು.

 GERMAN CLASS INAUGURATION AND DEMO

The German Class Inauguration and Demo was successfully conducted on 24 September 2026 at the Computer Lab of Saint Mary’s Syrian College, Brahmavar, in association with Ajinorah – Get Set Fly. The programme aimed to introduce students to the German language and create awareness about global educational and career opportunities.

The Resource persons for the programme were Mrs. Sandra Jacob, Regional Manager, Karnataka; Mrs. Neethu Krishna, Academic HOD; Mr. Susheel Kumar K.R., Marketing Manager, Karnataka; and Ms. Sowmini, Demo Trainer.

 Dr. Robert Rodrigues J. Principal , addressed the students and highlighted the various opportunities available to them through foreign language learning. He encouraged the students to make the best use of such opportunities to enhance their knowledge, skills and future career prospects.

 The Resource persons explained the importance of learning German and the educational and career opportunities it offers. Ms. Sowmini conducted an excellent interactive demonstration session, introducing students to the basics of the German language.

The programme was compered by Ms. Samantha Lobo, a B.Com. student. Mrs Seema Lewis, Programme Coordinator delivered the welcome speech,Lt. Ashwin Shetty, IQAC Coordinator, proposed the vote of thanks.

The programme was informative and successful, motivating students to explore foreign language learning and broaden their global opportunities.

ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾವರ, ಸೆಪ್ಟೆಂಬರ್ 22:  ಎಸ್‌ಎಂಎಸ್ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾವರದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಕ್ಷೇಮಪಾಲನ ಸಂಘ(SWC) ಹಾಗೂ ಎನ್‌ಸಿಸಿ ಘಟಕದ ಸಂಯುಕ್ತ ಆಶ್ರಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೆಪ್ಟೆಂಬರ್ 22, 2026ರಂದು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಅರ್ಧ ದಿನದ ನಾಯಕತ್ವ ಮತ್ತು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿತ್ವ ವಿಕಸನ ತರಬೇತಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯಾಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಕಳದ ನಾಯಕತ್ವ ಮತ್ತು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿತ್ವ ತರಬೇತುದಾರರಾದ ಶ್ರೀಯುತ ಅಜಿತ್ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ನಾಯಕತ್ವದ ಗುಣಗಳು, ತಂಡದ ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆ, ಸಂವಹನ ಕೌಶಲ್ಯ, ಆತ್ಮವಿಶ್ವಾಸ, ನಿರ್ಧಾರ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳುವ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯುತ ನಾಯಕತ್ವದ ಕುರಿತು ತರಬೇತಿ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಕೇವಲ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸಕ್ಕೆ ಸೀಮಿತವಾಗದೆ, ವಿವಿಧ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರಾಯೋಗಿಕ ಅಭ್ಯಾಸಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸಕ್ರಿಯವಾಗಿ ತೊಡಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ತರಬೇತಿ ನೀಡಿದರು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಉತ್ಸಾಹದಿಂದ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿ ನಾಯಕತ್ವದ ಅನುಭವವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡರು.

ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಡಾ. ರಾಬರ್ಟ್ ರೋಡ್ರಿಗಸ್ ಜೆ. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆ ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ವೇದಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಕ್ಷೇಮಪಾಲನ ಸಂಘದ ಪದಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಾದ ಸುಬ್ರಹ್ಮಣ್ಯ, ಪ್ರಜ್ವಲ್, ಅಭಿಜ್ಞಾ, ದಿವ್ಯಜ್ಯೋತಿ, ಮೆಹನಾಜ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಶಿವಾಜಿ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.

ಎನ್‌ಸಿಸಿ ನಾಯಕಿ ಶ್ರಾವ್ಯ, ತೃತೀಯ ಬಿ. ಸಿ ಎ ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿದರು.ಸುಬ್ರಹ್ಮಣ್ಯ ತೃತೀಯ ಬಿ ಕಾಮ್ ಪ್ರಾಸ್ತವಿಕ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನಡಿದರು, ಲಕ್ಷಿತಾ, ದ್ವಿತೀಯ ಬಿ. ಎ ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯ ಪರಿಚಯವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದರು. ಗೌರವ್ ದ್ವಿತೀಯ ಬಿ.ಕಾಮ್, ಎನ್‌ಎಸ್‌ಎಸ್ ಸ್ವಯಂಸೇವಕ, ವಂದನಾರ್ಪಣೆ ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿದರು. ಅಂಬಿಕಾ ದ್ವಿತೀಯ ಬಿ. ಕಾಮ್ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ನಿರೂಪಿಸಿದರು.

ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಕ್ಷೇಮಪಾಲನ ಸಂಘದ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರಾದ ಡಾ. ಪ್ರಶಾಂತ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಸುಪ್ರಿತಾ ಮತ್ತು ಎನ್‌ಸಿಸಿ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ ಲೆಫ್ಟಿನೆಂಟ್ ಆಶ್ವಿನ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಎ. ಅವರ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಸುಸೂತ್ರವಾಗಿ ನೆರವೇರಿತು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಯಕತ್ವದ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯ, ತಂಡದ ಮನೋಭಾವ, ಆತ್ಮವಿಶ್ವಾಸ ಹಾಗೂ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯ ಪ್ರಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾದ ಈ ತರಬೇತಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಾಯೋಗಿಕ ಹಾಗೂ ಸ್ಫೂರ್ತಿದಾಯಕ ಅನುಭವವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿತು.

       ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾವರ ದಿನಾಂಕ 23 / 9 /2026 ರಂದು ಸೈಂಟ್ ಮೇರಿಸ್ ಸಿರಿಯನ್ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾವರ, ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಂದಿ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಜಯ ಕಾಲೇಜು, ಮುಲ್ಕಿ ಇಲ್ಲಿನ ಸಹಾಯಕ ಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕಿಯಾದ ಡಾ. ದೀಪಿಕಾ ಎಸ್ ಇವರು ಅಭ್ಯಾಗತರಾಗಿ ಆಗಮಿಸಿ ಪದವಿ ಹಂತದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಂದಿಯನ್ನು ಒಂದು ಭಾಷೆಯಾಗಿ ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ, ಸಿಗಬಹುದಾದ ಉದ್ಯೋಗಾವಕಾಶಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡುವುದರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಹಿಂದಿ ದಿನದ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. ಸಮಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆ ವಹಿಸಿದ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಡಾ. ರಾಬರ್ಟ್ ರಾಡ್ರಿಗಸ್ ಅವರು ಪದವಿ ಹಂತದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಯಾವುದೇ ಭಾಷೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಕೀಳರಿಮೆ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಆಸಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಹೆಚ್ಚು -ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಭಾಷೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕಲಿಯಬೇಕೆಂದು ಕಿವಿಮಾತು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಹಿಂದಿ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥರಾದ ಡಾ. ಮಂಜುನಾಥ ಉಡುಪ ಕೆ. ಇವರು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸುವುದರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಹಿಂದಿ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆ ಪ್ರಯುಕ್ತ ಪ್ರಾಸ್ತಾವಿಕ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. ಹಿಂದಿ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಸಹಾಯಕ ಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕಿಯಾಗಿರುವ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಜ್ಯೋತಿ ಇವರು ಅಭ್ಯಾಗತರನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿದರೆ ತೃತೀಯ ಬಿ.ಎ. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿ ಕುಮಾರಿ ಸಹನಾ ಇವರು ವಂದಿಸಿದರು .ಕುಮಾರಿ ಅರ್ಚನಾ ಮತ್ತು ಕುಮಾರಿ ಮೆಹನಾಸ್ ಇವರು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ನಿರೂಪಿಸಿದರೆ ಕುಮಾರಿ ಚಂದನ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಿದರು. 

             ಇದೇ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಹಿಂದಿ ಪ್ರಬಂಧ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಮಾರಿ ಅರ್ಚನಾ ಅಂತಿಮ ಬಿ.ಎ, ಕುಮಾರಿ ಮೆಹನಾಸ್ ಅಂತಿಮ ಬಿ.ಸಿ.ಎ ಮತ್ತು ಕುಮಾರಿ ಸಹನಾ ಅಂತಿಮ ಬಿ.ಎ. ಇವರು ಕ್ರಮವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಥಮ ,ದ್ವಿತೀಯ ಹಾಗೂ ತೃತೀಯ ಬಹುಮಾನವನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮದಾಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರು.

Two-Day Soft Skills Training Programme

A Two-Day Soft Skills Training Programme was organised for the final-year BCA students at the Ramakrishna Hegde Skill Development Centre (RHSDC), Udupi, on 10 and 12 September 2026, in collaboration with the Konkan Railway Academy, Madgaon.

The first day featured insightful sessions on Office Etiquettes, Leadership Qualities, CV Writing, and Interview Techniques, led by Dr. Mithun S. Ullal, Mr. Likith, and Mr. Sachin. The sessions focused on strengthening students’ professional conduct, leadership abilities, resume-building skills, and interview preparation.

The second day covered Communication Skills and Employment Opportunities in Railways, conducted by Dr. Mithun S. Ullal and Mr. Shridhara Avabhrath, Manager, T&D, KRCL. The programme provided students with practical insights into workplace communication and career opportunities in the railway sector, contributing to their overall professional development and employability.

SMS ಕಾಲೇಜು, ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾವರದ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಸೇವಾ ಯೋಜನೆ (NSS) ಘಟಕದ ವತಿಯಿಂದ NSS ಉದ್ಘಾಟನಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಕಾಲೇಜಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆಯನ್ನು SMS ಕಾಲೇಜು, ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾವರದ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಡಾ. ರಾಬರ್ಟ್ ರೋಡ್ರಿಗಸ್ ಅವರು ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಶ್ರೀ ಸುಧಾಕರ್ ವಕ್ವಾಡಿ ಅವರು ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿದರು.

NSS ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ನಾಯಕ್ ಅವರು ಪ್ರಾಸ್ತಾವಿಕವಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, NSSನ ಉದ್ದೇಶ, ಮಹತ್ವ ಹಾಗೂ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇವಾ ಮನೋಭಾವವನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸುವಲ್ಲಿ NSSನ ಪಾತ್ರದ ಕುರಿತು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು. ಸಮಾಜಮುಖಿ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಸಕ್ರಿಯವಾಗಿ ತೊಡಗಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಹಾಗೂ ಸೇವೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ಸಮಾಜದ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗೆ ತಮ್ಮದೇ ಆದ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ನೀಡಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಕರೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.

ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಶ್ರೀ ಸುಧಾಕರ್ ವಕ್ವಾಡಿ ಅವರು, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ NSSನ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು. NSS ಕೇವಲ ಒಂದು ಸಂಘಟನೆಯಾಗಿರದೆ, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇವಾ ಮನೋಭಾವ, ಶಿಸ್ತು, ನಾಯಕತ್ವ, ಸಹಕಾರ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸುವ ವೇದಿಕೆಯಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಸಮಾಜದಲ್ಲಿನ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅರಿತುಕೊಂಡು, ಅವುಗಳ ಪರಿಹಾರಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ಸಮಯ ಮತ್ತು ಶಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಸದುಪಯೋಗಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಅವರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. ಯುವಜನತೆ ದೇಶದ ಭವಿಷ್ಯವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಉತ್ತಮ ಸಮಾಜ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಪಾತ್ರ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಮಹತ್ವದ್ದಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೀಯ ಭಾಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಡಾ. ರಾಬರ್ಟ್ ರೋಡ್ರಿಗಸ್, ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರು, SMS ಕಾಲೇಜು, ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾವರ, ಅವರು NSS ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಉತ್ಸಾಹದಿಂದ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುವಂತೆ ಕರೆ ನೀಡಿದರು. NSS ಮೂಲಕ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಪಠ್ಯ ಜ್ಞಾನದ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಅರಿವು, ಮಾನವೀಯ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಸೇವಾ ಮನೋಭಾವವನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬಹುದು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಸಮಾಜದ ಒಳಿತಿಗಾಗಿ ಸ್ವಯಂಪ್ರೇರಿತರಾಗಿ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವುದು ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಯ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. NSS ಸ್ವಯಂಸೇವಕರು ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಕೀರ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುವ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಿವಿಧ ಸಮಾಜಮುಖಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಕ್ರಿಯವಾಗಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸಿದರು.

ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ನಿರೂಪಣೆಯನ್ನು ದ್ವಿತೀಯ BCA ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿ ಕುಮಾರಿ ಸ್ವಾತಿ ಅವರು ಅಚ್ಚುಕಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಿದರು. ದ್ವಿತೀಯ BCA ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಸಂಕೇತ್ ಅವರು ಸ್ವಾಗತ ಭಾಷಣ ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿ, ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ ಗಣ್ಯರು, ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕರು ಹಾಗೂ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಆತ್ಮೀಯವಾಗಿ ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿದರು.

ನಂತರ ದ್ವಿತೀಯ BCA ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ರತಿಕ್ ಅವರ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ NSS ಸ್ವಯಂಸೇವಕರು NSS ಪ್ರತಿಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಿದರು. ಪ್ರತಿಜ್ಞೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ಸಮಾಜ ಸೇವೆ, ಶಿಸ್ತು, ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿ ಹಾಗೂ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ ಸೇವೆಯ ಬದ್ಧತೆಯನ್ನು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಕೊನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ದ್ವಿತೀಯ B.Com ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿ ಕುಮಾರಿ ಕೀರ್ತನಾ ಅವರು ವಂದನಾರ್ಪಣೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿ, ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಯಶಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ಸಹಕರಿಸಿದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು, ಉದ್ಘಾಟಕರು, ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕರು, NSS ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು.

Career Guidance and Competitive Examinations Programme Held at SMS College

Brahmavar: 07-09-2026, Monday .

St. Mary’s Syrian College, Brahmavar, organised a programme on “Career Guidance and Competitive Examinations” for the first-year students with the objective of creating awareness about career opportunities and motivating students to prepare for various competitive examinations.

The programme was presided over by Dr. Robert Rodrigues J., Principal, St. Mary’s Syrian College, Brahmavar. Dr. Sakaram Somayaji was the Chief Guest, while Mr. Chandrakanth V. Chanthar served as the Resource Person.

Addressing the students, the Resource Person provided valuable guidance on career planning, competitive examinations and the importance of early preparation. The session encouraged students to identify suitable career paths and develop the knowledge, skills and discipline required to succeed in competitive examinations.

The programme was attended by all first-year students, who actively participated in the session and benefited from the guidance provided. Such programmes play an important role in helping students understand opportunities beyond their regular academic curriculum. The college has been actively promoting guidance related to competitive examinations and career development as part of its student-support initiatives.

Ms. Divyajyothi, Final B.Com, served as the Master of Ceremonies. Ms. Shriraksha, Final B.Com and Secretary of Competitive Examinations, was present on the occasion. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Mr. Vighnesh Padiyar, Convenor of Competitive Examinations, who expressed gratitude to the Principal, Chief Guest, Resource Person, faculty members and students for their valuable contribution and participation.

The programme was informative and motivating, providing first-year students with useful insights into career opportunities and the significance of systematic preparation for competitive examinations.

On 7 September 2026, B.A. English Optional students visited SMS English Medium School (State Syllabus) along with English Language teachers from SMS Degree College.

They engaged the school children through rhymes, drawing, singing, indoor games, and other activities. The programme helped the college students apply their knowledge while developing communication, leadership, creativity, teamwork, and teaching skills.

The activity benefited both groups by promoting joyful learning, social responsibility, empathy, and community engagement.

Two-Day Soft Skills Training Programme

 Two-Day Soft Skills Training Programme

A two-day Soft Skills Training Programme was organised for the final year B.Com students of the college at the Ramakrishna Hegde Skill Development Centre (RHSDC), Udupi, on 24 and 28 August 2026. The programme was conducted in collaboration with the Konkan Railway Academy, Madgaon and aimed at enhancing the students’ professional and employability skills.

The first day featured sessions on Leadership Qualities, CV Writing and Interview Techniques, and Employment Opportunities in Railways. The sessions were handled by Dr. Mithun S. Ullal, and Mr. Shridhara Avabhrath, Manager, T&D, KRCL, respectively.

The second day focused on Communication Skills and Office Etiquettes, with sessions conducted by Dr. Vrinda and Dr. Shilpa. The training provided students with valuable exposure to essential workplace skills, professional communication, interview preparation and career opportunities.

Konkani Manyata Divas Celebrated at SMS College, Brahmavar

 

Brahmavar, 28th August 2026: The Konkani Club of St. Mary's Syrian College (SMS College), Brahmavar, celebrated Konkani Manyata Divas with a vibrant cultural programme at the Rev. Fr. P. G. Koshy Memorial Auditorium on Friday.

The programme was presided over by Mr. Prasanna Shetty, Vice Principal of the college. In his presidential address, he appreciated the endeavours of the Konkani Club as an effective platform for students to exhibit their talents and emphasized the need for greater coordination among different Konkani dialects for the overall enrichment of the language and culture.

The programme commenced with a prayer led by Ms. Keerthana. Mr. Alfred Furtado, Convener of the Konkani Club, spoke on the relevance of the day and highlighted the importance of unity among Konkani speaking communities.

The formal function included unfurling of the Konkani flag and singing of the Konkani Anthem.Ms. Kavana Nayak, Secretary of the Club, proposed the vote of thanks. Mr. Aaron Lobo compered the programme meticulously.

The formal programme was followed by a colourful cultural extravaganza. Volunteers of the club entertained the audience with classical, semi-classical and modern dances and songs.The programme was sponsored by 'Madd Sobhann' and was attended by around 50 students.

Play for Nation, Donate for Life ಎಂಬ ಆಶಯದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾದ .ರಕ್ತದಾನ ಶಿಬಿರದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಉತ್ಸಾಹದಿಂದ ರಕ್ತದಾನ ಮಾಡುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಮಾನವೀಯ ಸೇವೆಗೆ ಕೈಜೋಡಿಸಿದರು. ರಕ್ತದಾನದ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಕುರಿತು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಮೂಡಿಸುವುದರೊಂದಿಗೆ, ಅಗತ್ಯವಿರುವವರಿಗೆ ನೆರವಾಗುವ ಮಾನವೀಯ ಮನೋಭಾವವನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸುವುದು ಶಿಬಿರದ ಉದ್ದೇಶವಾಗಿತ್ತು.

ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ದೀಪ ಬೆಳಗಿಸಿ ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಉಡುಪಿ ಪ್ರಾದೇಶಿಕ ಕಚೇರಿಯ ಸಹಾಯಕ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಾಪಕ ಶ್ರೀ ರಮೇಶ್ ವೈದ್ಯ ಅವರು, ಕ್ರೀಡೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಶಿಸ್ತು, ಆತ್ಮವಿಶ್ವಾಸ, ನಾಯಕತ್ವ ಗುಣ, ತಂಡದ ಮನೋಭಾವ ಹಾಗೂ ಆರೋಗ್ಯಕರ ಜೀವನಶೈಲಿಯನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಪಾತ್ರ ವಹಿಸುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಯುವಜನರು ಕ್ರೀಡೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ರಕ್ತದಾನದಂತಹ ಸಮಾಜಮುಖಿ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಕ್ರಿಯವಾಗಿ ತೊಡಗಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಕರೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.

ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆಯನ್ನು ಓ ಎಸ್ ಸಿ ಎಜ್ಯುಕೇಷನಲ್ ಸೊಸೈಟಿ, ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾವರದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ರೆ. ಫಾ. ಎಂ.ಸಿ. ಮಥಾಯಿ ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿವಿಧ ಸಂಘ-ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ಪ್ರಮುಖರು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದು ಶುಭ ಹಾರೈಸಿದರು.

ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಡಾ. ರೋಬರ್ಟ್ ರೋಡ್ರಿಗಸ್ ಜೆ., ಐ ಕ್ಯೂ ಎ ಸಿ ಸಂಯೋಜಕರಾದ ಲೆಫ್ಟಿನೆಂಟ್ ಅಶ್ವಿನ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಎ. ಹಾಗೂ ದೈಹಿಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ವೆಂಕಟೇಶ್ ಭಟ್ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಕ್ಷೇಮಪಾಲನ ಸಂಘದ ಪದಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು, ಬೋಧಕ-ಬೋಧಕೇತರ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ಹಾಗೂ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಯಶಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ಸಹಕರಿಸಿದರು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಕ್ಷೇಮಪಾಲನ ಸಂಘದ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ದಿವ್ಯ ಜ್ಯೋತಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ನಿರೂಪಿಸಿ, ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಡಾ. ರೋಬರ್ಟ್ ರೋಡ್ರಿಗಸ್ ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿ, ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯಶಾಸ್ತ್ರ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ವಿಘ್ನಶ್ ಉದ್ಘಾಟಕರನ್ನು ಪರಿಚಯಿಸಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಲೆಫ್ಟಿನೆಂಟ್ ಅಶ್ವಿನ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಇವರು ವಂದಿಸಿ, ಅರ್ಥಶಾಸ್ತ್ರ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸಕರಾದ ಡಾ ಭರತ್ ರಾಜ್ ಎಸ್ ನೇಜರ್ ಇವರು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಧನ ವಿತರಣಾ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಿದರು 

ಕ್ರೀಡಾ ಸ್ಫೂರ್ತಿ, ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಮತ್ತು ರಕ್ತದಾನದ ಮೂಲಕ ಮಾನವೀಯ ಸೇವೆಯ ಸಂದೇಶವನ್ನು ಸಾರಿ ಸುಮಾರು 90 ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ರಕ್ತದಾನ ನೀಡಿ ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ನೆರವೇರಿತು.

ಆಟಿ ಖಾದ್ಯ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನ

 ಎಸ್. ಎಮ್. ಎಸ್ ಕಾಲೇಜು, ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾವರದ NSS ಘಟಕದ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಆಟಿ ಖಾದ್ಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು 28 ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 2026ರಂದು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.ಆಟಿ ತಿಂಗಳ ವಿಶೇಷತೆ ಹಾಗೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಕರಾವಳಿ ಭಾಗದ ಸಾಂಪ್ರದಾಯಿಕ ಆಹಾರ ಪದ್ಧತಿಯನ್ನು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಪರಿಚಯಿಸುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಯಿತು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ಮನೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಂಪ್ರದಾಯಿಕವಾಗಿ ತಯಾರಿಸಲಾದ ವಿವಿಧ ಆಟಿ ಖಾದ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕಾಲೇಜಿಗೆ ತಂದು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿದರು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಖಾದ್ಯಗಳ ತಯಾರಿಕೆಯ ವಿಧಾನ, ಅದರಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಪೌಷ್ಟಿಕಾಂಶ ಹಾಗೂ ಆಟಿ ತಿಂಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅವುಗಳ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಕುರಿತು ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡರು.

ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಉಪಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಪ್ರಸನ್ನ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಅವರು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದು, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನವನ್ನು ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸಿದರು. NSS ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ನಾಯಕ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಡಾ. ಮಂಜುನಾಥ್ ಉಡುಪ, NSS ಸಹಾಯಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಾಧಿಕಾರಿಯಾದ ಕುಮಾರಿ ನಕ್ಷಿತಾ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.

ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಸಕ್ರಿಯ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುವಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ನಡೆಯಿತು. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಕರಾವಳಿ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿ, ಸಾಂಪ್ರದಾಯಿಕ ಆಹಾರ ಪದ್ಧತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಆಹಾರ ಪರಂಪರೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಅರಿವು ಮೂಡಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಸಹಕಾರಿಯಾಯಿತು.

BizLex Challenge – Crossword Puzzle

 

On 27th August 2026, the Department of Commerce , Commerce Association organized the BizLex Challenge ,a Crossword Puzzle as an engaging academic activity to test and enhance students’ knowledge of important concepts and terminology related to Commerce, Business, Accounting, Economics, Marketing, Banking, Finance, and Entrepreneurship.

The activity was designed in the form of a 25-question crossword puzzle, encouraging students to think critically, recall subject related concepts, and solve the clues using their knowledge of business and commerce. A total of 28 students participated in the competition.

The activity provided students with an opportunity to strengthen their subject knowledge, improve their business vocabulary, and develop problem solving and analytical skills. The enthusiastic participation of the students contributed to the successful conduct of the BizLex Challenge – Think. Solve. Succeed!

Overall, the crossword puzzle was a meaningful learning activity that combined academic knowledge with healthy competition and made the learning experience more interactive for the students.

Language Skill Development Demo Classes Held at SMS College, Brahmavar

 

Brahmavar, August 27, 2026:

 A Demo Class on Language Skill Development was organized at SMS College, Brahmavar, to create awareness among students about the importance of language and communication skills in today’s competitive world.

The demo session was conducted by Mr. Ganesh Bhat Founder and Mr. Girish Director Technology Evoltech. 

During the session, the resource persons provided insightful information about the software, its features, and how to use the available resources effectively for language development. They also explained how students can make use of the software to improve their communication skills, language proficiency, and overall confidence.

The session highlighted the growing importance of communication and language skills for students in the present competitive environment. The practical guidance and demonstration helped students understand how technology can be effectively used to develop their language and communication skills.
