 Primary Health Centre Brahamavar organized a comprehensive health checkup drive at Saint Mary's Syrian College, benefitting students, faculty, and staff alike. The initiative aimed to promote health awareness and ensure early detection of any underlying health issues among the college community.

Chief Medical Officer  Primary Health Centre Brahamavar, emphasized the importance of preventive healthcare measures. "Regular health checkups play a crucial role in maintaining overall well-being. By conducting such drives, we aim to encourage individuals to prioritize their health and take proactive steps towards a healthier lifestyle," he stated.


The collaboration between Primary Health Centre Brahamavar and Saint Mary's Syrian College underscores the commitment to community health and welfare.

Saint Mary's Syrian College Shines at Mangalore University Inter-Collegiate Karate Championship

In an impressive display of skill and determination, students from Saint Mary's Syrian College, Brahamavar, showcased their martial arts prowess at the Mangalore University Inter-Collegiate Karate Championship held on April 2, 2024, at Kateel.

Amrutha, a third-year BCA student, exhibited outstanding performance, securing the coveted Silver medal in the fiercely contested tournament.

Adding to the college's accolades, Kishan, a third-year BCOM student, clinched the Bronze medal, showcasing his agility and technique on the mat. 

Furthermore, Shamanth, a second-year BA student, demonstrated exceptional skill and composure, earning another Silver medal for Saint Mary's Syrian College. His strategic approach and swift movements impressed the judges and affirmed the college's reputation as a formidable contender in the martial arts arena.

ಅಂತರ್ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆ ತಿಲ್ಲಾನ- 2024



ಎಸ್ ಎಂ ಎಸ್ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾವರ  ಇದರ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಸಂಘ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿರುವ  ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯ ಮಟ್ಟದ ಅಂತರ್ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆ ತಿಲ್ಲಾನ 2024  ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ದಿ ವಸಂತ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಸ್ಮಾರಕ ರಂಗಮಂಟಪದಲ್ಲಿ ನೆರವೇರಿತು.  ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ  ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆಯನ್ನು ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಸಂಚಾಲಕರಾದ ರೆ. ಫಾ ಎಂ. ಸಿ  ಮಾತಾಯಿ ಅವರು ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅಥಿತಿಗಳಾದ ಸಾಹಿತಿ, ಆಕಾಶವಾಣಿ ಹಾಗೂ ದೊರದರ್ಶನ ಕಲಾವಿದೆ  ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ವಸಂತಿ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾವರ ಇವರು  ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ವನ್ನು ಉದ್ಘಾತಿಸಿದರು .

 14 ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು.  ಸಮಾರೋಪ ಸಮಾರೋಪ ಸಮಾರಂಭದ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿ ಗಳಾದ ವಿದುಷಿ ಸುಮಂಗಲ ರತ್ನಾಕರ  ಇವರು  ವಿಜೇತರಿಗೆ  ಬಹುಮಾನಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದರು.ಸಮಗ್ರ ತಂಡ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ  ಪ್ರಥಮ ಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು  ಶಂಕರನಾರಾಯಣ ಕಾಲೇಜು  ದ್ವಿತೀಯ ಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು  ಭಂಡಾ ರ್ಕರ್ಸ್ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಕುಂದಾಪುರ ಹಾಗೂ ತೃತೀಯ ಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ಮಿಲಾಗ್ರಿಸ್ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಕಲ್ಯಾಣಪುರ  ಇವರು ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡರು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲಾರದ ಡಾ. ಮಂಜುನಾಥ ಉಡುಪ  ಕೆ,  ಆಡಳಿತ ಮಂಡಳಿಯ ಸದಸ್ಯರು.    ಹಾಗೂ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಸಂಘದ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರಾದ ಡಾ. ವಿದ್ಯಾಲತ  ಹಾಗೂ  ಅರುಣ್ ಕುಮಾರ್  ಮತ್ತು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಸಂಘದ  ಪದಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಇವರು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.

In a spectacular display of skill and determination, Saint Mary's Syrian College, Brahamavar, emerged victorious in the Mangalore University Inter-Collegiate Women's Cricket Tournament hosted by St. Philomena College, Puttur, for the 2023-24 season.

Saint Mary's Syrian College showcased their dominance on the field by clinching victory by 10 wickets against Alvas College, Moodubidire, in a thrilling finale. The team's exceptional performance throughout the tournament earned them the well-deserved title.

The stellar performance of individual players further highlighted the college's prowess in the sport. Laxmi, hailed as the Best All-rounder of the tournament, showcased remarkable versatility and contributed significantly to her team's success. Swarna Gowri's outstanding batting skills earned her the title of Best Batter, adding to the college's accolades.

Saint Mary's Syrian College demonstrated unwavering resilience, emerging victorious in every match they contested, including the semifinals against St. Aloysius College and the fiercely contested final against Alvas College, Moodubidire. Their flawless record underscores the team's exceptional talent and cohesive teamwork.

Saint Marys Syrian College Brahmavara, March 11, 2024:

 The Department of Economics and the Department of Political Science jointly organized an enriching industrial visit for Bachelor of Arts (BA) students, accompanied by faculty members, to the Dakshina Kannada Co-operative Milk Producers' Union (KMF) and the Rani Abbakka Tulu Adyayana Kendra Museum. The excursion aimed to provide students with practical insights into the operations of a vital cooperative enterprise and to delve into the cultural heritage preserved in the museum.



The visit commenced on Monday, March 11, 2024, with eager students and faculty members gathering at the designated meeting point. Excitement filled the air as the group embarked on their journey to KMF, a cornerstone of the region's dairy industry. Upon arrival, students were greeted by the sight of bustling activity, with workers engaged in various stages of milk processing and distribution.

Guided by knowledgeable staff members, the students received a comprehensive tour of the KMF facilities, gaining firsthand exposure to the intricate processes involved in milk production, pasteurization, and packaging. They also had the opportunity to interact with industry professionals, who shared valuable insights into the economic and social significance of cooperative enterprises in fostering local development and empowerment.

Following the insightful visit to KMF, the group proceeded to the Rani Abbakka Tulu Adyayana Kendra Museum, dedicated to preserving the rich cultural heritage of the Tulu-speaking region. Named after the legendary queen Rani Abbakka, known for her valor and leadership, the museum showcases a diverse collection of artifacts, manuscripts, and exhibits highlighting the history, traditions, and folklore of the Tulu community.

At the museum, students immersed themselves in the vibrant tapestry of Tulu culture, guided by passionate curators eager to share the stories and significance behind each artifact. From ancient artifacts depicting the region's maritime history to exhibits celebrating traditional art forms and rituals, the museum offered a captivating journey through time and culture.

The industrial visit to KMF and the Rani Abbakka Tulu Adyayana Kendra Museum not only broadened the horizons of BA students but also fostered a deeper appreciation for the interconnectedness of economics, politics, and culture in shaping society.
