Overall Champions at Intercollegiate Fest

The Cultural Team of the college brought laurels to the institution by securing the Overall Championship at the Intercollegiate Fest Beyond the Scroll, held on 27 March 2026 at MGM Evening College, Udupi.




Demonstrating outstanding talent and teamwork, the students secured First Place in Group Dance and Second Place in Social Media MarketingWith these impressive performances, the team emerged as the Overall Champions of the fest and received a cash prize of ₹10,000.

Overall Third Place at Intercollegiate Fest “Youthopia”

 

The College Cultural Team participated in the Intercollegiate Fest “Youthopia” held on 31 March 2026 at Government First Grade College (GFGC), Haleangadi, and delivered an impressive performance across multiple events.





The team achieved the following distinctions:

1. *First Place in Group Dance*

2. *First Place in Group Karaoke Singing*

3. *Second Place in Solo Karaoke Singing*

4. *Second Place in Best Literary Talent*

With these outstanding achievements, the Cultural Team secured the *Overall Third Place in the fest* and received a cash prize of ₹7,000.

Soft skill Training programme For Students


The inauguration of the Soft Skills Training Program was held on 26th March 2026 at St. Mary’s Syrian College, Brahmavar, for final-year B.Com and BA students. The event, organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in association with the Placement Cell and HRD Cell of the college, took place at Rev. Fr. P. G. Koshy Auditorium at 1:30 PM.

The workshop was inaugurated in the presence of Ms. Benedicta and Ms. Shakthi S, Technical and Soft Skills Trainers from Magic Bus India Foundation, who will serve as the resource persons for all five days of the program.The inaugural program began with a prayer by Dhanvantari of III B.Com B and Keerthana of I B.Com A. The welcome address was delivered by Deepika of III B.Com B, and the vote of thanks was proposed by Shaldon of III B.Com B. The program was hosted by Nikita and Tanis of III B.Com A.

Principal Dr. Robert Rodrigues delivered the introductory speech. Mrs. Tweeny Maria Rodrigues (Head of the Department of Commerce and Placement Officer), HRD Cell Convenor Mrs. Asha T. K, IQAC Coordinator Mr. Ashwin Shetty, Program Coordinator Mr. Madhu, and Placement Officer Mr. Bhargav from Magic Bus India Foundation were present on the occasion.

The inaugural session witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who actively engaged in the program.The training will continue for five days, aiming to significantly contribute to the students’ professional and personal growth.The program aims to enhance students' soft skills, communication abilities, leadership qualities, and career readiness through interactive sessions, real-world examples, and practical exercises.

Campus drive

 

A campus placement drive was conducted by the Placement Cell on 5th March 2026 in collaboration with Dhriti Edu Service for Almasons. A total of 102 students registered for the drive.The selection process consisted of three stages: an online test, a group discussion, and a face-to-face interview. Based on their performance across these stages, 2 students were shortlisted. The final round of interviews for the shortlisted candidates is yet to be scheduled.

The placement drive offered students valuable exposure and enhanced their access to career opportunities in the fields of Information Technology and Supply Chain Management.

A campus placement drive was conducted by the Placement Cell on 6th and 10th March 2026 in collaboration with Qspiders. A total of 117 final year students registered for the drive.The selection process comprised two rounds. The first round was an online test designed to assess candidates’ aptitude and technical skills, followed by a Group Discussion (GD) to evaluate their communication abilities and teamwork.

Based on their performance, a total of 10 students were selected, including 9 from the BCA program and 1 from B.Com. The drive was highly successful and provided valuable career opportunities for the participating students.
