On the 18th of December 2023, SMS College Brahmavar orchestrated a distinctive examination experience for 20 Bachelor of Arts (BA) students. This unique exam format allowed these students to complete their assessments without traditional supervision. The subjects covered during this unsupervised exam included Introduction to Literature, Subaltern Studies, and British Literature. 

The introduction of this novel approach is credited to the Department of English, emphasizing a considerable level of trust in the students' integrity. The initiative showcases the institution's commitment to exploring innovative examination methodologies, setting a precedent for future assessments. This alternative testing method serves as an exemplary model for students, encouraging a flexible and adaptive mindset. The Department of English deserves commendation for introducing this forward-thinking examination model at SMS College Brahmavar.

ದಿನಾಂಕ:- 16/12/2023 ರ ಶನಿವಾರದಂದು ಸೈಂಟ್ ಮೇರಿಸ್ ಸಿರಿಯನ್ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾವರ ಇಲ್ಲಿಯ 2023-24ರ ಸಾಲಿನ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಸೇವಾ ಯೋಜನೆಯ ಅಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಉಡುಪಿ ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕು ಪಂಚಾಯತ್ ಯಿಂದ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾದ  " ಗ್ರಂಥಮಿತ್ರ "  ಉದ್ಘಾಟನಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ವಾರಂಬಳ್ಳಿ ಗ್ರಾಮ ಪಂಚಾಯತ್ ನ ಗ್ರಂಥಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.

ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನಕಾರರಾಗಿ ವಾರಂಬಳ್ಳಿ ಗ್ರಾಮ ಪಂಚಾಯತ್ ನ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ನಿತ್ಯಾನಂದ ಬಿ.ಆರ್ ಅವರು ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಯೋಜಿತೆಯಾದ ರೀಣಾ ಎಸ್.ಹೆಗ್ಡೆ ಅವರು ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕು ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಯೋಜಿತೆಯಾದ ಶಿಲ್ಪ ,ಸರಕಾರಿ ಪ್ರೌಢಶಾಲೆ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾವರ ಇಲ್ಲಿಯ ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕಿಯಾದ ಸುಶೀಲ ಎಸ್. , ಪಂಚಾಯತ್ ನ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಉಮಾಬಾಯಿ,ಸೈಂಟ್ ಮೇರಿಸ್ ಸೀರಿಯನ್ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾವರ ಇಲ್ಲಿಯ ಎನ್.ಎಸ್.ಎಸ್. ಘಟಕಗಳ ಯೋಜನಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಾದ ಮಮತಾ ಮೇರಿ ಅಮ್ಮನ್ನ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಸನ್ನ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಅವರು ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ್ದರು. *ವಾರಂಬಳ್ಳಿ ಗ್ರಾಮ ಪಂಚಾಯತ್ ನ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ನಿತ್ಯಾನಂದ ಬಿ.ಆರ್. ಅವರು ದೀಪವನ್ನು ಬೆಳಗುವುದರ ಮೂಲಕ ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಚಾಲನೆಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದರು* . ಮಮತಾ ಮೇರಿ ಅಮ್ಮನ್ನ ಅವರು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಉದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನಕಾರರಾದ  ನಿತ್ಯಾನಂದ ಬಿ.ಆರ್. ಅವರು ಗ್ರಂಥಮಿತ್ರ *"ಆಟದಿಂದ ಪಾಠ"* ಎಂಬ ಮಾತಿನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಗ್ರಂಥಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಪುಸ್ತಕವನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಓದಿ *'ದೇಶ ಸುತ್ತಿ ನೋಡು ಕೋಶ ಓದಿ ನೋಡು'* ಎಂಬ ಗಾದೆ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದರು.ಸರಕಾರಿ ಪ್ರೌಢಶಾಲೆಯ ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕಿಯಾದ ಸುಶೀಲಾ ಎಸ್. ಇವರು ಇತ್ತೀಚಿನ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮೊಬೈಲ್ ನ ಬಳಕೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಗ್ರಂಥಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ,ಗ್ರಂಥ ಮಿತ್ರ ಎಂಬ ಯೋಜನೆಯನ್ನು ಪಂಚಾಯತ್ ಗ್ರಂಥಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಗ್ರಂಥಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡುತ್ತಾರೆ ಎಂಬ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಾದ ರೀಣಾ ಎಸ್. ಹೆಗ್ಡೆ ಅವರು ಆಧುನಿಕ ಗ್ರಂಥಾಲಯದ  ಮಹತ್ವ ಹಾಗೂ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಪುಸ್ತಕವನ್ನು ಓದುವ ಹವ್ಯಾಸವನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಎಂಬ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

 

ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವಾಗತವನ್ನು ಸಂಗೀತಾ, ಧನ್ಯವಾದವನ್ನು ಅಂಕಿತಾ ಹಾಗೂ ನಿರೂಪಣೆಯನ್ನು ಶಶಾಂಕ್ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ನೇಹ ಇವರು ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟರು.

Students exhibited immense enthusiasm and active participation, showcasing their culinary prowess by preparing an impressive array of dishes. The event was an embodiment of innovation and sustainability, with students ingeniously utilizing waste woods to craft varieties of rice items, fried delicacies, sweets, and invigorating juices.

The students' dedication to presenting their recipes and items to the judges was evident in their meticulous preparation and passionate display. "Dive in Delicacy" Season 3 not only showcased gastronomic talents but also underscored the significance of participative learning within the curriculum. This event served as a platform for students to engage in hands-on learning, fostering creativity, teamwork, and practical skills essential for their holistic development.

ಸೈಂಟ್ ಮೇರಿಸ್ ಸಿರಿಯನ್ ಕಾಲೇಜ್, ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾವರ

 ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಸಂಘ, ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಸೇವಾ ಯೋಜನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಲಲಿತಾ ಕಲಾ ಸಂಘಗಳ ವತಿಯಿಂದ 'ನಿತ್ಯ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಸ್ಯ' ಎಂಬ ವಿಷಯದ ಕುರಿತು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ದಿನಾಂಕ 6/12/2023 ರಂದು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.

' ಮನು ಹಂದಾಡಿ' ಎಂದು ದೇಶ ವಿದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಜನಪ್ರಿಯರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಮನೋಹರ್ ಹೆಗ್ಡೆ ಹಂದಾಡಿ, ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾವರ, ಉಡುಪಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆ ಇವರು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಹಲವಾರು ಜೀವನ ಮೌಲ್ಯಾಧಾರಿತ ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಸ್ಯ ಚಟಾಕಿಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡರು . 

ಮನು ಹಂದಾಡಿ ಯವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಹಾಸ್ಯ ಭರಿತ ಕುಂದಾಪುರ ಕನ್ನಡ ಶೈಲಿಯ ವಾಕ್ಚಾತುರ್ಯದ ಮೂಲಕ ನೆರೆದಿರುವ ಎಲ್ಲರನ್ನು ನಗೆ ಕಡಲಲ್ಲಿ ತೇಲಿಸಿದರು.ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಸ್ಯ ಬೇಕು: ಆದರೆ ಜೀವನ ಹಾಸ್ಯಾಸ್ಪದ ವಾಗಬಾರದು ಎಂದು ಮನವರಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಿದರು.

 ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಡಾ. ಮಂಜುನಾಥ ಉಡುಪ ಕೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಹಾಸ್ಯ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರಿಗೂ ಮುದ,ಸಾಂತ್ವನ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮಾಧಾನಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡುವಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಪಾತ್ರ ವಹಿಸುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂಬ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯವನ್ನು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು. ಈ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮನು ಹಂದಾಡಿ ಯವರು ಪ್ರಶಂಸಾರ್ಹರು ಮತ್ತು ಈ ಒಂದು ಸಮಾಜಮುಖಿ ಕಾರ್ಯ ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಮುಂದುವರಿ ಯಲಿ ಎಂದು ಆಶಿಸಿದರು.

 ಕಾರ್ತಿಕ್ ತೃತೀಯ ಬಿಕಾಂ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಿದರು, ಶ್ರೀನಿಧಿ ತೃತೀಯ ಬಿಕಾಂ ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿದರು. ಫಾತಿಮಾ ದ್ವಿತೀಯ ಬಿ ಎ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸಭೆಗೆ ಪರಿಚಯಿಸಿದರು.ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಿ ದ್ವಿತೀಯ ಬಿಎ ಧನ್ಯವಾದ ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸಿದರು .

  ಪ್ರತೀಕ್ ತೃತೀಯ ಬಿ ಸಿ ಎ ಮತ್ತು ಅರ್ಚನ ತೃತೀಯ ಬಿಕಾಂ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ನಿರೂಪಿಸಿದರು.

 ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸಕ- ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸಕೇತರ ವೃಂದದವರು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು . ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ-ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಕ್ರಿಯವಾಗಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು.

This achievement took place at the Mangalore University Intercollegiate Athletic Championship organized by GFGC Tenkanudiyuru, held at Ajjarakadu, Udupi.
