Saint Mary's Syrian College, Brahmavara

, organized a campus placement drive in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and the Human Resource Development (HRD) Cell of the college. The event witnessed the participation of four esteemed organizations: NIIT, Institute of Finance, Banking & Insurance, ICICI Bank, and Axis Bank.

A total of 86 students registered for the placement drive, showcasing the eagerness and enthusiasm of the student body towards securing employment opportunities.

The campus placement event commenced with an inaugural session graced by the esteemed presence of the college's management and key personnel. Rev. Fr. M.C. Mathai, the Correspondent of the college,Dr. Manjunatha Udupa, the Principal of the college along with Mr. Alwaris D'Silva, the Secretary, Mr. Jaison Rodrigues, the Treasurer, and Mr. Albert Rony D'Silva, a Management Member, were present to encourage and support the students.

, delivered an inspiring address, emphasizing the significance of such placement initiatives in shaping the careers of the students.

ದಿನಾಂಕ: 09/03/2024 ರ ಶನಿವಾದಂದು ಸೈಂಟ್ ಮೇರಿಸ್ ಸೀರಿಯನ್ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾವರ ಇಲ್ಲಿಯ 2023-24 ರ ಸಾಲಿನ ಎನ್.ಎಸ್.ಎಸ್. ಘಟಕ ಮತ್ತು ಯುತ್ ರೆಡ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ ಇವರ ಸಹಯೋಗದಲ್ಲಿ *"ಕ್ಯಾನ್ಸರ್ ನ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಅರಿವು ಮೂಡಿಸುವ"* ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು   ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ  ಸಭಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.

ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆಯನ್ನು ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಡಾ. ಮಂಜುನಾಥ್ ಉಡುಪ ಕೆ. ಇವರು ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯಾಗಿ ಶ್ರೀಯುತ ಡಾ. ಅನಂತ್. ಪೈ. ಪ್ರೊಫೆಸರ್, ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಆಂಕೊಲಜಿ ವಿಭಾಗ, ಕೆ.ಎಮ್.ಸಿ. ಮಣಿಪಾಲ, ಇವರು ಆಗಮಿಸಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಕ್ಯಾನ್ಸರ್ ಅಂದರೆ ಏನು? ಅದು ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಗೆ ಹಂತ ಹಂತವಾಗಿ ಕಂಡುಬರುತ್ತದೆ. ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗೆ ನಾವು ಸೇವಿಸುವ ಆಹಾರ ಪದಾರ್ಥಗಳು ಹೇಗೆ ನಮ್ಮ ದೇಹದಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಿಣಾಮವನ್ನು ಉಂಟುಮಾಡಿ ಕ್ಯಾನ್ಸರ್ ಕಂಡುಬರುವುದನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಿ, ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಸೂಕ್ತ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಯನ್ನು ನೀಡುವ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಬಂದಿದೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. 

 ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಎನ್.ಎಸ್.ಎಸ್. ಘಟಕಗಳ ಯೋಜನಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಾದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಮಮತಾ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀ  ಪ್ರಸನ್ನ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ  ಸಹಯೋಜನಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಾದ   ಕು . ಸುಪ್ರೀತಾ ಮತ್ತು ಯುತ್ ರೆಡ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ ನ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರಾದ. ಶ್ರೀ  ಆಲ್ಫ್ರೆಡ್ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಪ್ರಥಮ ಮತ್ತು ದ್ವಿತೀಯ ವರ್ಷದ ಎನ್.ಎಸ್.ಎಸ್. ಸ್ವಯಂಸೇವಕರು ಮತ್ತು ಯುತ್ ರೆಡ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ ನ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.

ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವಾಗತವನ್ನು  ಶಿಲ್ಪ, ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ಪರಿಚಯವನ್ನು ಸ್ನೇಹ, ಧನ್ಯವಾದವನ್ನು ಯಜ್ನೇಶ್ ಮತ್ತು  ಸುದರ್ಶನ್ ಹಾಗೂ ವಿದ್ಯಾ ಇವರಿಂದ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ನಿರೂಪಣೆಗೊಂಡಿತು.

In a bid to form a formidable cricket team, Mangalore University conducted rigorous selection trials on February 29, 2024, at Saint Mary's Syrian College, Brahamavar. The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Gerold Santhosh D'Souza, the Director of the Department of Physical Education at Mangalore University.

The selection committee, entrusted with the crucial task of identifying exceptional talent, comprised esteemed members: Dr. Jayaprakash, Dr. Eliyas Pinto, Mr. Sandeep Saliyan, and Mr. Venkatesh Bhat. Their collective expertise and keen eye for talent played a pivotal role in evaluating the aspiring cricketers vying for a spot on the university team.

The trials witnessed a display of skill, determination, and sportsmanship as participants showcased their prowess in various facets of the game. Dr. Gerold Santhosh D'Souza, expressing satisfaction with the overall talent pool, emphasized the university's commitment to fostering excellence in sports.

As the selection process unfolded, candidates underwent rigorous assessments, including batting, bowling, and fielding drills. The committee, after careful deliberation, is set to announce the final roster for the Mangalore University Men's Cricket Team in the coming days.

This initiative not only serves as a platform for budding cricketers to showcase their abilities but also reinforces the university's dedication to promoting sports and nurturing talent within its academic community. ದಿನಾಂಕ:28/02/2024   2023-24 ರ ಸಾಲಿನ ಎನ್.ಎಸ್.ಎಸ್. ಘಟಕಗಳ ವತಿಯಿಂದ "ಸಂವಿಧಾನ ದಿನದ" ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ ಎಸ್ ಎಂ ಎಸ್ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾವರದಲ್ಲಿ "ಜಾಥಾ" ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು    ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.

ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಡಾ. ಮಂಜುನಾಥ್ ಉಡುಪ ಕೆ. , ಎನ್.ಎಸ್.ಎಸ್. ಘಟಕಗಳ ಯೋಜನಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಾದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಮಮತಾ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀ  ಪ್ರಸನ್ನ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ , ಸಹಯೋಜನಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ಮತ್ತು ಸುಪ್ರೀತಾ , ಪ್ರಥಮ ಮತ್ತು ದ್ವಿತೀಯ ವರ್ಷದ ಎನ್.ಎಸ್.ಎಸ್. ಸ್ವಯಂಸೇವಕರು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು. ಕಾಲೇಜಿನಿಂದ  ಪ್ರಾರಂಭ ಗೊಂಡ ಜಾಥಾ ವಾರಂಬಳ್ಳಿ  ಗ್ರಾಮ ಪಂಚಾಯತ್ ವರೆಗೆ ಘೋಷ ವಾಕ್ಯಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಅರಿವು ಮೂಡಿಸುತ್ತ ಸಾಗಿತು .  ಪಂಚಾಯತ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ "ಸಂವಿಧಾನದ ಪ್ರತಿಜ್ಞಾವಿಧಿಯನ್ನು" ಕೈಗೊಳಲಾಯ್ತು.

In a spectacular display of strength and athleticism, the inter-college Best physique competition, hosted by SMS College Brahmavara in collaboration with the Department of Physical Education  Mangalore University, unfolded on January 7, 2024.

Alvas College Moodubidire secured the first place, followed by SDM College and Aloysius College . The host institution, SMS College, held its ground and secured a respectable fourth place.

A standout performer, Kishan Shetty of Alvas College, was crowned the best bodybuilder of the competition, showcasing exemplary dedication and physical prowess.

The event, held in the college hall of SMS College Brahmavara, not only celebrated the spirit of competition but also highlighted the commitment and hard work of the participating colleges and individual athletes. Congratulations to all participants for making the inter-college bodybuilding competition a resounding success.

ವಿವಿಧ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳ ಸುಮಾರು 50ಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ ಅಧಿಕ ದೇಹದಾಢ್ಯ ಪಟುಗಳು ಈ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ರಿಯಾಶೀಲರಾಗಿ ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಂಡು ಅಂತಿಮವಾಗಿ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯ ಸಮಗ್ರ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಯ 4  ನೇ  ಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ಆತಿಥೇಯ ಎಸ್ ಎಂ ಎಸ್ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾವರ , 3 ನೇ ಸ್ಥಾನ ಸೈಂಟ್ ಅಲೋಶಿಯಸ್ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಮಂಗಳೂರು , ದ್ವಿತೀಯ ಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ಎಸ್ ಡಿ ಎಂ ಬ್ಯುಸಿನೆಸ್ ಮ್ಯಾನೇಜ್ಮೆಂಟ್ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಮಂಗಳೂರು, ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರಥಮ ಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ಆಳ್ವಾಸ್ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಮೂಡಬಿದ್ರಿ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡವು . ಕಿನ್ನಿಗೋಳಿ ಫ್ರೆಂಡ್ಸ್ ಕ್ರಿಕೆಟರ್ಸ್, ಇವರ ಆಶ್ರಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರಿಗಾಗಿ ದಿನಾಂಕ 23 ಹಾಗೂ 24 ಡಿಸೆಂಬರ್ ರಂದು ನಡೆದ KFC ಪ್ರೀಮಿಯರ್ ಲೀಗ್  ಟೆನ್ನಿಸ್ ಬಾಲ್ ಕ್ರಿಕೆಟ್ ಪಂದ್ಯಾಟದಲ್ಲಿ  ಎಸ್ ಎಂ ಎಸ್  ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿ ಅಮೋಘ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿ ದ್ವಿತೀಯ ಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದು, ಇಡೀ ಪಂದ್ಯಕೂಟದ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಶಿಸ್ತಿನ ತಂಡವೆಂದು ಗುರುತಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ.

ದಿನಾಂಕ :22/12/23  ೨೦೨೩-೨೪ ನೇ ಸಾಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಎಸ್ ಎಂ ಎಸ್  ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾವರದಲ್ಲಿ,ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ  ನಡೆದ ವೆಟರನ್ ಟ್ರೋಫಿ-2023 ರ ಆಯೋಜಕರು ಹಾಗೂ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಹಳೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಜನಾರ್ದನ್ ಎಂ ಟಿ , ಅಭಿಜೀತ್ ವೈ , ಸಚಿನ್ ಜಿ , ಸುಕೇಶ್ ಅಮೀನ್ ಪಂದ್ಯಕೂಟದ  ಉಳಿದ ಮೊತ್ತದಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ರಿಕೆಟ್ ಪರಿಕರಗಳನ್ನು  ಕಾಲೇಜಿಗೆ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ನೀಡಿದರು . ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಡಾ .ಮಂಜುನಾಥ ಉಡುಪ ,ದೈಹಿಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ವೆಂಕಟೇಶ್ ಭಟ್ , ಕಚೇರಿ ಅಧೀಕ್ಷಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಸೆಲಿನ್  ಬಾಂಝ್,ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಅರುಣ್  ಕುಮಾರ್ ,ಶ್ರೀ ಭರತ್ ರಾಜ್ ಎಸ್ ನೇಜಾರ್ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು .

The event was graced by the presence of College Principal Dr. Manjunath Udupa, Physical Education Director Mr. Venkatesh Bhatt, Office Superintendent Mrs. Celine Banz, along with staffs Mr. Arun Kumar and Mr. Bharat Raj S. On the 18th of December 2023, SMS College Brahmavar orchestrated a distinctive examination experience for 20 Bachelor of Arts (BA) students. This unique exam format allowed these students to complete their assessments without traditional supervision. The subjects covered during this unsupervised exam included Introduction to Literature, Subaltern Studies, and British Literature. 

The introduction of this novel approach is credited to the Department of English, emphasizing a considerable level of trust in the students' integrity. The initiative showcases the institution's commitment to exploring innovative examination methodologies, setting a precedent for future assessments. This alternative testing method serves as an exemplary model for students, encouraging a flexible and adaptive mindset. The Department of English deserves commendation for introducing this forward-thinking examination model at SMS College Brahmavar.

ದಿನಾಂಕ:- 16/12/2023 ರ ಶನಿವಾರದಂದು ಸೈಂಟ್ ಮೇರಿಸ್ ಸಿರಿಯನ್ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾವರ ಇಲ್ಲಿಯ 2023-24ರ ಸಾಲಿನ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಸೇವಾ ಯೋಜನೆಯ ಅಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಉಡುಪಿ ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕು ಪಂಚಾಯತ್ ಯಿಂದ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾದ  " ಗ್ರಂಥಮಿತ್ರ "  ಉದ್ಘಾಟನಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ವಾರಂಬಳ್ಳಿ ಗ್ರಾಮ ಪಂಚಾಯತ್ ನ ಗ್ರಂಥಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.

ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನಕಾರರಾಗಿ ವಾರಂಬಳ್ಳಿ ಗ್ರಾಮ ಪಂಚಾಯತ್ ನ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ನಿತ್ಯಾನಂದ ಬಿ.ಆರ್ ಅವರು ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಯೋಜಿತೆಯಾದ ರೀಣಾ ಎಸ್.ಹೆಗ್ಡೆ ಅವರು ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕು ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಯೋಜಿತೆಯಾದ ಶಿಲ್ಪ ,ಸರಕಾರಿ ಪ್ರೌಢಶಾಲೆ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾವರ ಇಲ್ಲಿಯ ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕಿಯಾದ ಸುಶೀಲ ಎಸ್. , ಪಂಚಾಯತ್ ನ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಉಮಾಬಾಯಿ,ಸೈಂಟ್ ಮೇರಿಸ್ ಸೀರಿಯನ್ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾವರ ಇಲ್ಲಿಯ ಎನ್.ಎಸ್.ಎಸ್. ಘಟಕಗಳ ಯೋಜನಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಾದ ಮಮತಾ ಮೇರಿ ಅಮ್ಮನ್ನ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಸನ್ನ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಅವರು ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ್ದರು. *ವಾರಂಬಳ್ಳಿ ಗ್ರಾಮ ಪಂಚಾಯತ್ ನ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ನಿತ್ಯಾನಂದ ಬಿ.ಆರ್. ಅವರು ದೀಪವನ್ನು ಬೆಳಗುವುದರ ಮೂಲಕ ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಚಾಲನೆಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದರು* . ಮಮತಾ ಮೇರಿ ಅಮ್ಮನ್ನ ಅವರು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಉದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನಕಾರರಾದ  ನಿತ್ಯಾನಂದ ಬಿ.ಆರ್. ಅವರು ಗ್ರಂಥಮಿತ್ರ *"ಆಟದಿಂದ ಪಾಠ"* ಎಂಬ ಮಾತಿನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಗ್ರಂಥಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಪುಸ್ತಕವನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಓದಿ *'ದೇಶ ಸುತ್ತಿ ನೋಡು ಕೋಶ ಓದಿ ನೋಡು'* ಎಂಬ ಗಾದೆ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದರು.ಸರಕಾರಿ ಪ್ರೌಢಶಾಲೆಯ ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕಿಯಾದ ಸುಶೀಲಾ ಎಸ್. ಇವರು ಇತ್ತೀಚಿನ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮೊಬೈಲ್ ನ ಬಳಕೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಗ್ರಂಥಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ,ಗ್ರಂಥ ಮಿತ್ರ ಎಂಬ ಯೋಜನೆಯನ್ನು ಪಂಚಾಯತ್ ಗ್ರಂಥಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಗ್ರಂಥಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡುತ್ತಾರೆ ಎಂಬ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಾದ ರೀಣಾ ಎಸ್. ಹೆಗ್ಡೆ ಅವರು ಆಧುನಿಕ ಗ್ರಂಥಾಲಯದ  ಮಹತ್ವ ಹಾಗೂ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಪುಸ್ತಕವನ್ನು ಓದುವ ಹವ್ಯಾಸವನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಎಂಬ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

 

ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವಾಗತವನ್ನು ಸಂಗೀತಾ, ಧನ್ಯವಾದವನ್ನು ಅಂಕಿತಾ ಹಾಗೂ ನಿರೂಪಣೆಯನ್ನು ಶಶಾಂಕ್ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ನೇಹ ಇವರು ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟರು.
