Brahmavar, February 6, 2025 – The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Saint Mary’s Syrian College, Brahmavar, organised a Faculty Development Programme (FDP) for Non-Teaching Staff on the topic “Modern Office Practices for Effective Administration” on February 6, 2025.

The resource person for the session was Mr. Gopal Naik, Office Superintendent of Bhandarkars College, Kundapura. The session aimed at enhancing the administrative efficiency of non-teaching staff by equipping them with modern office management skills.

The event was held at the college's Mini Auditorium at 3:00 PM and saw active participation from the non-teaching staff. The program concluded with a vote of thanks, emphasising the importance of continuous learning for administrative excellence.The event was graced by Principal Dr. Robert Rodrigues and Office Superintendent    Mrs. Violetine Lewis, who emphasised the importance of professional development for non-teaching staff.

The initiative aimed to enhance the skills of administrative personnel, ensuring smooth and effective office operations.

Brahmavar, January 26, 2025 – Saint Mary’s Syrian College, Brahmavar, celebrated the 76th Republic Day with great enthusiasm and patriotism. The event commenced with the hoisting of the national flag by Mr. Shyam, a retiring office staff member, in the presence of the college fraternity.

The ceremony was graced by Dr. Robert Rodrigues J, Principal.The program was led and organized by Lt. Ashwin Shetty, who ensured a well-coordinated and inspiring celebration. NCC cadets, NSS volunteers, and a large number of students participated in the event, demonstrating their respect and love for the nation.

Teaching and non-teaching staff members were also present, adding to the patriotic spirit of the occasion. The event concluded with motivational speeches emphasizing the values of democracy, unity, and responsibility as citizens of the country.

Brahmavar, 29/01/2025 – Saint Mary's Syrian College, Brahmavar, has taken a significant step towards empowering its students with industry-relevant skills by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Manipal Skill Development Centre. This collaboration aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical industry requirements by offering specialized training programs.

ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾವರದ ಎಸ್ಎಮ್ಎಸ್ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಹಳೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಮಹಾಸಂಗಮ- 2024 ಡಿಸೆಂಬರ್ 15 ರಂದು ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಸಭಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ  ವಿಜೃಂಭಣೆಯಿಂದ ನೆರವೇರಿತು   . ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ  ಕಾಲೇಜನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟುವಲ್ಲಿ ಸಹಕರಿಸಿದ   ಮಹನೀಯರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಥಮ ಹಂತದ ಅಭಿನಂದನಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಸ್ಥಾಪಕ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಪ್ರೊ.ಎಮ್ ಸಿ ನೈನಾನ್  ಹಾಗೂ ಶ್ರೀ ಬಾಲಕೃಷ್ಣ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ  ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ  ಶುಭ ಕೋರಿದರು. ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ  ದುಬೈ,ಮುಂಬೈ, ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಹಾಗೂ ಅಂತರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಹಳೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಸಂಘದ ಚಾಪ್ಟರ್ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಲು ಮತ್ತು  ಅಸ್ತಿತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಸಂಘವನ್ನು ಸದೃಢ ಪಡಿಸಲು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಅನೇಕ ಹಳೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಕಾಲೇಜಿಗೆ ಸ್ಮಾರ್ಟ್ ಕ್ಲಾಸ್ ,ಪ್ರೊಜೆಕ್ಟರ್ ಬಡ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನದ ಊಟದ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಗೆ ,ಶುಲ್ಕ ಸಂಬಂಧಿತ ವಿಷಯಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಹಕರಿಸಲು ಮುಂದಾದರು . 

ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ 300ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು  ಹಳೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಯಶಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ಕಾರಣರಾದರು.ಓ ಎಸ್ ಸಿ ಎಜುಕೇಶನ್ ಸೊಸೈಟಿ  ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾವರದ ಸಂಚಾಲಕರಾದ ರೇ. ಫಾ ಎಂ ಸಿ  ಮಥಾಯಿ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆಯನ್ನು ವಹಿಸಿ ,ಹಳೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಸಂಘದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾಗಿರುವಂತ ಶ್ರೀಯುತ  ಸಕಾರಾಮ ಸೋಮಯಾಜಿ ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿ ,ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಡಾ. ರಾಬರ್ಟ್ ರೊಡ್ರಿಗೆಸ್ ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾವಿಕ ನುಡಿಗಳನಾಡಿದರು  ಧನ್ಯವಾದ ಸಮರ್ಪಣೆಯನ್ನು ಶ್ರೀಯುತ ಸಚಿನ್ ಪೂಜಾರಿ ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿದರು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ನಿರೂಪಣೆಯನ್ನು ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಜ್ಯೋತಿ ಸಾಲಿಗ್ರಾಮ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ನಿರೂಪಣೆಯನ್ನು ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಅನಿತಾ ಫರ್ನಾಂಡಿಸ್ ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿದರು

Brahmavar: Students of SMS College, Brahmavar, have excelled in the ELC Taluk-Level Competitions held in Brahmavar Taluk.

Ananya secured Third Place in the Poster Making competition, showcasing her creativity and artistic skills.

Aishwaryalakshmi and Fathima Shalula, both from III B.A., achieved First Place in the Quiz competition, demonstrating their exceptional knowledge and teamwork.

The management, principal, staff, alumni, PTA, and students congratulated the winners for their outstanding performance, bringing pride to the institution.
