Visit to SMS English Medium School

 

The Department of English organized an Extension Activity for the B.A. English Optional students on 22nd September 2025. As part of the program, the students visited SMS English Medium School (State Syllabus), accompanied by the English Language teachers of SMS Degree College.

During the visit, the students engaged the school children in a variety of interactive sessions that included teaching through rhymes, drawing, singing, indoor games, and other fun-filled activities. These activities created an enjoyable learning atmosphere and encouraged active participation from the children.

The program provided the college students with an opportunity to apply their classroom learning in a real-life setting. They gained valuable professional exposure as well as personal growth, thereby contributing to their overall development as future educators or professionals in related fields.

The initiative not only enriched the learning experience of the school children but also fostered a sense of social responsibility and community engagement among the college students.

ದಿನಾಂಕ 20/09/2025 ರಂದು ಎಸ್.ಎಂ.ಎಸ್.  ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಗಣಕಶಾಸ್ತ್ರ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಆಶ್ರಯದಲ್ಲಿ ದ್ವಿತೀಯ ಬಿಸಿಎ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ "AI for Up skilling" ಎಂಬ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಾರ ವನ್ನು ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಶ್ರೀ. ಈಶ್ವರ್ ಎಲ್. ಕೆ. ಸಾಫ್ಟವೇರ್ ತರಬೇತುದಾರರು, ಇವರು ಮಾಹಿತಿಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದರು. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ರೀನಾ ಹೆಗ್ಡೆ, ಸೆಂಟರ್ ಹೆಡ್, ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಗಣಕ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ. ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ. ಕವಿತಾ ಪಿ, ಶ್ರೀ. ಪ್ರಥ್ವಿ ಇವರು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.

Konkan Railway: Two-day soft-skills training programme

A two-day soft-skills training programme was successfully conducted for final year B.Com and B.A. students on 18th and 19th August, and for BCA students on 19th and 20th Sept ember, 2025. The event was organised by the Ramakrishna Hegde Skill Development Centre (RHSDC), Udupi, in collaboration with Konkan Railway under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. RHSDC is a key CSR effort by Konkan Railway, aiming to enhance employability through modules such as communication skills, CV writing, interview techniques, and other essential soft skills.

ದಿನಾಂಕ:09/09/2025 ರ ಮಂಗಳವಾರದಂದು ಸೈಂಟ್ ಮೇರಿಸ್ ಸೀರಿಯನ್ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾವರ ಇಲ್ಲಿಯ 2024-25 ರ ಸಾಲಿನ  ಮಾನವಿಕ ಸಂಘ ಹಾಗೂ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಕ್ಷೇಮ ಪಾಲನಾ ಸಮಿತಿಯ ಸಹಯೋಗದಲ್ಲಿ "ಸಿ ಪಿ ರ್ ಮಾಹಿತಿ "ಕಾರ್ಯಗಾರ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಮಿನಿ ಸಭಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.

ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆಯನ್ನು ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಡಾ. ರಾಬರ್ಟ್ ರೋಡ್ರಿಗಸ್ ಜೆ. ಇವರು ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯಾಗಿ  ಡಾ. ಮಿಲಿಟ ಶಾಲಿನಿ ಅಸಿಸ್ಟಂಟ್ ಪ್ರೊಫೆಸರ್, ನರ್ಸಿಂಗ್ ವಿಭಾಗ, ಕೆ.ಎಮ್.ಸಿ. ಮಣಿಪಾಲ, ಇವರು ಆಗಮಿಸಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಿ ಪಿ ರ್  ವಿಷಯದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಅರಿವು ಮೂಡಿಸಿ,  ಸೂಕ್ತ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಯನ್ನು ನೀಡುವ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ  ಯಾವ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಡಬಹುದು ಎಂಬ ಬಗ್ಗೆ  ದೃಶ್ಯ ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತಿ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯನ್ನು  ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. ಹಾಗೂ ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾನವೀಯ ಸಂಘದ ಸಂಯೋಜಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ

ಹೆಲ್ಮಿನಾ ಮೇರಿ ಮಮತಾ ಮತ್ತು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಕ್ಷೇಮ ಪಾಲನಾ ಸಮಿತಿಯ ಸಹ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕಿ ಯಾಗಿರುವ  ಕುಮಾರಿ ಸುಪ್ರೀತಾ  ಮತ್ತು ಮಾನವಿಕ ಸಂಘದ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಕ್ಷೇಮ ಪಾಲನ ಸಮಿತಿಯ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಮತ್ತು ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೆ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಕ್ಷೇಮ ಪಾಲನ ಸಮಿತಿಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಗಳು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.

ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವಾಗತವನ್ನು  ತೃಪ್ತಿ, ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ಪರಿಚಯವನ್ನು ರೆಹೆನಾ ಭಾನು, ಧನ್ಯವಾದವನ್ನು ಪವನ್ ಮತ್ತು  ಲಕ್ಷಿತ ಇವರಿಂದ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ನಿರೂಪಣೆಗೊಂಡಿತು.

"Icons of Konkani"

 

The Konkani Club celebrated the rich heritage of Konkani through the "Icons of Konkani" programme on 19 September 2025, showcasing eminent personalities and inspiring students to value their culture.

Konkani Club Secretary, Ms. Dhanvantari, extended a cordial welcome to the gathering and set the tone for the programme.

 The Konkani Club highlighted the contributions of great achievers, creating awareness among students about the richness of Konkani art, literature, and culture.

Principal,Dr. Robert Rodrigues motivated the students with his speech and encouraged them to actively take part in such initiatives to preserve and promote Konkani culture.
